The Secretary and Financial Trustee Mrs. J. Jeyapackiam, a post graduate, is an efficient, resourceful and experienced person. She has been put in 18 years of experience in the sphere of active social work. She has served as the secretary of Tamil Nadu Women's Development Association and was one of the eight wings of the Samathuva Samuthaya Iyakkam (Movement of Egalitarian Society). She organized many women's associations in various parts of Tamil Nadu. Later on she became the women's wing Secretary of PEAL (People Education For Action and Liberation) one of the State level NGO organizations in Tamil Nadu and organized the women to fight for their emancipation.
Since 1987, she has been actively involving herself in various programmes for the development of women in the villages of Ramnad and Sivagangai Districts in TamilNadu, India. She is rendering service to the poor through various social service organisations as President, Board Member, Member of Executive Committee etc. including the following.
The Conflict Development and Peace Network (CODEP), London selected her as its board member in 2001
"The Co-operative college" Manchester in England opted her as its Board member in 2001.
The Junior Chamber Manamadurai, Sivagangai District honoured her with "Outstanding Young Person Award" and also in the year 2002 as the Best Woman in Sivagangai District in South Tamil Nadu.
